Saga-P Standard

Saga-P Standard: +2 to +8 °C and room temperature, one device

Saga-P Standard covers −20 to +50 °C, calibrated at −20, +15 and +50 °C and accurate to ±0.5 °C across the refrigerated and ambient bands, in the housing that can later carry the PR-T80 probe.

Key capabilities

  1. Refrigerated and ambient in one range

    ±0.5 °C from −10 to +45 °C, which covers +2 to +8 °C and controlled room temperature without a second device.

  2. 110 days on a 12-hour wake-up

A 2500 mAh NiMH cell, not dangerous goods, recharged over the attached USB-A cable for at least 70 cycles.

  3. One housing, re-tasked later

The PR-T80 port ships capped. Fit the probe and the same housing reaches dry ice or liquid nitrogen.

Limited range

Between −30 and −20 °C, and from +50 to +70 °C, the device still logs. Battery life is reduced, the display is not functional, and below −20 °C it stops reporting in real time.

Battery life

Set the wake-up interval, read the days

A fully charged device on the interval shown reports in real time and raises alarms for at least this long while monitoring a shipment inside its operating range. Below 5% charge it hibernates: it keeps logging to memory and stops reporting until recharged.

Why the P

The P is the probe port. It ships capped, so on a refrigerated or ambient lane the device reads temperature at the housing and behaves like any sealed device. When a lane changes, the same housing takes the PR-T80 probe and reaches dry ice or liquid nitrogen. Those are separate calibrations, so re-tasking a fleet is a recalibration rather than a purchase.

Device management is handled

Return logistics, calibration and servicing are ours to run. You get maximum reuse and a circular model without adding a device operation to your own team.

Questions about Saga-P Standard

What does the P in Saga-P mean?

The PR-T80 probe port. It ships capped, so on a refrigerated or ambient lane the Saga-P Standard reads temperature at the housing like any sealed device. Fit the probe and the same housing reaches dry ice or liquid nitrogen, which are separate calibrations, so re-tasking a fleet is a recalibration rather than a new purchase. The datasheet states 25 × 61 × 103 mm and 197.5 g.

Does one device cover both +2 to +8 °C and controlled room temperature?

Yes. Saga-P Standard covers −20 to +50 °C and is accurate to ±0.5 °C from −10 to +45 °C, which spans the refrigerated and ambient bands without a second device. It is calibrated at −20, +15 and +50 °C.

What happens if the shipment goes below −20 °C?

Between −30 and −20 °C, and from +50 to +70 °C, the device still logs. Battery life is reduced, the display is not functional, and below −20 °C it stops reporting in real time. For product that ships frozen as a matter of course, Saga Arctic is calibrated for it.
