Saga Dry Ice
Saga Dry Ice: Dry-ice shipments, measured in the payload
The PR-T80 probe reads to −95 °C from inside the dry ice while the device itself rides outside it, reporting temperature, location and light in real time. Calibrated at −80, −40 and 0 °C, accurate to ±1.0 °C.

Key capabilities
The probe goes where the product is
A 1.0 m probe reaches into the shipper; the device stays at −20 to +50 °C, where it reports in real time.
Calibrated for dry ice
−80, −40 and 0 °C against a NIST-traceable standard, ±1.0 °C, 0.1 °C resolution.
Same fleet, same platform
The same Saga-P housing as the rest of the fleet, and every reading lands in the Controlant Platform beside the rest of the lane.
Specifications
The same rows as every Saga, read from the datasheet
version 2 · 7 April 2026 · 394 KB. Where a figure is missing from the sheet the row says so rather than borrowing from another model.
Limited range
The probe reads to −95 °C. The device itself rides outside the dry ice at −20 to +50 °C; between −30 and −20 °C it still logs, with reduced battery life, but stops reporting in real time.

Battery life
Set the wake-up interval, read the days
A fully charged device on the interval shown reports in real time and raises alarms for at least this long while monitoring a shipment inside its operating range. Below 5% charge it hibernates: it keeps logging to memory and stops reporting until recharged.
| Wake-up interval | 2500 mAh |
|---|---|
| 1 hour | 20 days |
| 2 hours | 35 days |
| 3 hours | 45 days |
| 6 hours | 75 days |
| 12 hours | 110 days |
| 24 hours | over 110 days |
Dry ice, in real time
Dry-ice shipments sublimate on a schedule nobody controls, and a passive logger read on arrival tells you afterwards. Saga Dry Ice reports in real time on its wake-up interval and the moment the probe leaves its boundaries, so a re-icing can be arranged while the shipment is still in transit.
Device management is handled
Return logistics, calibration and servicing are ours to run, which keeps a device and its probe in circulation rather than in a drawer.
Questions about Saga Dry Ice
How cold can Saga Dry Ice measure?
The PR-T80 probe reads to −95 °C. It is calibrated at −80, −40 and 0 °C on the probe, and accurate to ±1.0 °C.
Where does the device sit in a dry ice shipment?
Outside the dry ice, in its own −20 to +50 °C band, with only the probe in the cold. Between −30 and −20 °C the device still logs, with reduced battery life, but stops reporting in real time.
Is it the same device as Saga Cryogenic?
Same Saga-P housing and the same PR-T80 probe. What differs is the calibration and the accuracy bands: Dry Ice is calibrated at −80, −40 and 0 °C on the probe and reads to −95 °C; Cryogenic adds a −196 °C point and reads to −200 °C.
