What is it like working at Controlant?

Customers say that Controlant has changed the game. That they‘re never going back to the old way, and it‘s really good to be a part of that. Seeing that we are changing the world, we are reducing waste.

What is your role?

My name is Dadi Rúnar Jónsson, and I‘m the Director of Supply Chain Management. I make
sure that the loggers get made and that we have enough in stock. So, I‘m in good contact
with manufacturers that are manufacturing our devices.

How did the Covid-19 pandemic impact your work?

When I started two and a half years ago, I didn‘t know what I was getting myself into. We
were, of course, in the middle of Covid, fighting Covid, and I think that has motivated people quite a lot. We were manufacturing around 1,500 to 2,000 loggers a month, but we had to scale up or ramp up to 150,000 a month. And in this time period, we have manufactured over 2 million devices and always delivered on time. And that‘s really something that makes you proud. At least it makes me proud.

What do you like most about your role?

For me, it‘s important that you have a voice and a purpose within the company, that you are
being heard, and that you make a difference. And that‘s what Controlant is providing. Your
work matters here. You are trusted, and you are being heard, which is really good.
