Reykjavik and San Francisco (November 14, 2018) — Controlant, a leading provider of supply chain visibility solutions and services for the pharmaceutical, cold chain logistics, and food and beverage sectors, today announced the appointment of two members to its Advisory Board. Philippe Hemard and Chris Scoggins bring decades of experience in supply chain logistics and enterprise technology to the company's leadership team. Their input is expected to play a valuable role as Controlant continues to scale its operations, develop next generation technology, and enter new markets.

Mr. Hemard, an early executive at Amazon EU, served in a key role building and scaling the organization's supply chain operations to support its European business growth from less than $500 million to more than $30 billion in revenue, including overseeing the hiring of tens of thousands of employees during his 18-year-tenure with the company.

Mr. Scoggins is a 20-year Silicon Valley veteran, most recently holding executive roles at Datalogix, which was acquired by Oracle in 2015. Mr. Scoggins has also served as an investor and a board member for several companies, including Umbria (acquired by JD Power) and Yieldex (acquired by Appnexus), SambaTV, NovoRoll, Factual and Elliptic.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Philippe and Chris to Controlant, who each bring complementary strengths and synergy to our business,” said CEO Gisli Herjolfsson. “Philippe brings deep experience in supply chain logistics and rapid scaling, having worked for one of the fastest-growing, most customer centric businesses on earth. Chris carries deep experience in building high-growth, data-driven technology companies. By drawing on their years of experience and thought leadership in their respective fields, Philippe and Chris will provide unique insights into how our solutions can extend to an even larger segment of the global enterprise."

Mr. Hemard and Mr. Scoggins will advise the company on strategy, international growth, and partnering areas. Their involvement will help differentiate the company in its quest to bring a Software as a Service business model to the cold chain and reduce global waste to less than one percent.
