26 February 2021 – Reykjavik, Iceland and San Francisco, CA– In support of its operational scaling initiatives, to meet the demand of its growing portfolio of customers across Pharma & Life Sciences and Food & Beverage, Controlant, the leader in real-time Supply Chain monitoring and visibility technologies, is making strategic talent acquisitions across a number of business units to both expand and deepen its international teams and technologies. In preparation for its growth in 2021, Controlant has added collaborative leaders and expert talent in key areas such as Global Business Operations and People Operations.
Gudmundur Oskarsson has joined Controlant as VP of Strategic Operations, and is responsible for special contracts related to Controlant’s growing operations and geographic diversification. Prior to joining Controlant in 2021, Gudmundur was CIO of Alvogen and served as CIO of Össur previously. Gudmundur is Chairman of the Board of Lyfjaauðkenni ehf (ICEMVO), which is responsible for implementing and managing the Medicines Verification System in Iceland.
Ella Bjornsdottir is the new Director of Human Resources, overseeing Controlant’s People Operations, which includes implementing processes, initiatives and managing internal and external talent acquisition and retention stakeholders to recruit, develop, and retain world-class talent internationally, as Controlant’s global teams scale to meet demand. Ella is responsible for developing and ensuring Controlant’s collaborative, diverse, sustainable and international-minded company culture. Prior to joining Controlant, Ella served as a Global Learning and Development Manager for Marel. Ella is a prolific leadership development speaker, education evangelist and previously consulted with educational institutions internationally to help people identify and reach their full potential.
Controlant recently announced its key role in COVID-19 vaccine distribution globally and within the US. It plans to make additional talent acquisitions in critical business units such as Product, Marketing, Revenue, R&D, Business Intelligence and Data Science, as well as additional operations roles throughout 2021.
