The current possibility of a volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula has received global media attention as it could have serious localized consequences for a nearby coastal town, which has now been evacuated as a precaution.

Iceland sits atop the Eurasian and North America tectonic plates and the resulting seismic activity is part of everyday life, with benefits including hot springs and renewable geothermal energy.

Given this might concern our international customers and colleagues, we would like to communicate that our headquarters and Icelandic operations are situated in the capital area and are not affected by this situation.

Moreover, flights to Iceland are not affected and the country remains fully open to tourists and business travelers alike.

Controlant’s contingency plans include measures to ensure business continuity in all locations in which we operate. As always, our customers' business continuity is our priority, and we are committed to providing uninterrupted support and services.
