KEYNOTE: How real-time control-tower intervention delivers value

The control-tower approach is about connecting dashboards and aggregating relevant data to inform strategic decisions that increase supply chain efficiency. Control towers built on real-time visibility enable a much greater level of actionability.

In this keynote address, Val and Ada explore the value of proactive interventions through real-time alerts, which is key to how pharma companies are leveraging IoT to improve transparency across supply chain networks. They share insights from a current pilot of Controlant’s 24/7 hypercare solution for highly sensitive medicines, and look at current data-harnessing developments in heat-mapping and mitigations, as well as product stability automation.

Val is a supply chain professional with 20+ years’ experience in executive roles within pharma logistics and healthcare supply chain. He has worked within pharmalogistics for the past 12 years; first with Actavis/Allergan, before joining Teva Pharmaceuticals in 2016. Teva is the world’s largest generic pharma company, serving 200 million patients every day, through a large, complex global network of own sites, CMOs, and patients. Val is a pioneer in 4PL (LLP) concepts for pharma and has held advisory roles for various pharma service providers since 2012.

She is an expert in sales, operations, and marketing, specifically in the areas of product, vertical alliance sales, and partnerships related to pharmaceutical products. She is a licensed pharmacist with an MBA degree.
