Controlant has entered into a cooperation agreement with Promens Dalvík, an international producer of tubs and containers.

The parties agreed on a 10 year contract covering development, sales and marketing of Controlant´s traceability solutions on international markets. The parties have released the following press release introducing the cooperation:

„The Icelandic innovation company Controlant and international tub producer Promens Dalvík recently signed an agreement for extensive cooperation in development, sales and marketing of an automatic traceability solution for tubs and containers. The contract is valid for 10 years and the parties have great expectations with regards to the cooperation.

Controlant has in recent years developed wireless solutions used for quality control in supply chains and has marketed its solutions for temperature monitoring in the pharmaceutical and food markets.

„The cooperation with Promens is a milestone in our company´s history“ said Controlant CEO Gísli Herjólfsson. „Our solutions have been well received by users in our home market as well as in Scandinavia. This cooperation opens more possibilities for our solutions in international markets and to us, having Promens selecting us as our partner is a good acknowledgement.“

„Promens Dalvík has produced rotational, double-walled, insulated tubs for almost 30 years and our products can be found all over the world. We are leaders in development, production and sales of tubs and see great potential in combining Controlant´s solutions with our products“ said Promens Dalvík CEO Daði Valdimarsson. „Our customers have been looking for a solution that can automatically manage locations for their tubs. We believe we have found the solution which furthermore has possibilities for many additional applications and usage. We´re a progressive company and we are proud of entering into cooperation with an Icelandic innovative company as technically competent as Controlant. The possibilities for progress with this solution in international markets are good.“

Promens Dalvík is among Iceland´s most known export companies. When established almost 30 years ago it was named Sæplast, but since 2007 it has been named after the parent company Promens ltd., which today runs 41 factories in 19 countries.
